Ask a specific player
Try “Do you have any sevens?” while pointing to a seven in your own hand. In a real request, address the player you mean. The sentence makes sense only when that rank is currently held in the requester’s hand.
Answer honestly
When the opponent has the requested rank, they give all cards of it. A natural teaching response is “Yes, here are my sevens.” If there are none, “Go fish!” cues the agreed draw step.
Keep the tone friendly
“Please” and “Thank you” can support a comfortable exchange. We do not add a penalty for missing either phrase. A language prompt should not quietly change the card-game rules.
Practise without an audience score
Read the exchange, point or use a family’s preferred language alongside it. These phrases are original teaching prompts, not an English test. No microphone, recording or speech data is requested by this website.
